Let me guess. You have happy customers, but asking for a review makes you cringe a little. 🙈
I get it! Nobody wants to feel pushy. But here is the truth: reviews are one of the best things you can have for your business. They help new customers trust you, and they help Google (and the new AI tools people are using to find businesses) understand who you are and where you work.
So let's make asking easy. Here is how:
📌 Ask at the right moment. Right after a happy moment is best. The project is done, the customer says "thank you so much!", and that is your cue. Say it out loud: "Would you mind sharing that on Google? It really helps a small business like ours."
📌 Send a direct link. The fewer clicks, the more reviews. Open your Google Business Profile, find your review link, and send it by text or email. Do not make people search for you.
📌 Make it personal. A short, friendly message always works better than a copy and paste. Something like "It was a pleasure working with you! If you have a minute, a review would mean the world to us."
📌 Use a QR code. If you have a shop or an office, put a small QR code at the counter, on your receipts, or on your business cards. Easy peasy.
📌 Answer every review. Good or not so good. A quick, kind reply shows other customers that you care. 💛
A few things to avoid: do not buy reviews, do not offer rewards for them (Google does not allow it), and do not pick and choose who you ask. Real reviews from real customers are what count.
